Tinchy Stryder To Headline Ex-Gang Members’ Charity Event
The star-studded event that will be held at the London Roundhouse on August 28 will feature the Star In The Hood MC as a headliner in support for the campaign that has called young singers, rappers and MCs around the UK to contribute to a track promoting peace among young people.
Run by ex-gang members at New Day Foundation and the Big Lottery Fund, the birmingham-founded campaign that launched at the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford on June 23 has also had the backing of ‘Mama Do The Hump’ chart-toppers Rizzle Kicks.
“Every young person should be able to explore their musical talents, whatever their background. We want to see the UK’s newest talents coming through so get involved!” they said.
Tinchy on the night will be joined by the winning entrants who helped make the peace anthem that will be made ready for download on International Peace day, September 21.
