NaijaHype Exclusive – Instaglasses by Instagram
Following its acquisition by Facebook, and even before, Instagram, a photo sharing application, has risen to social media stardom with more than 50 million users worldwide. For the remaining 6,998,377,692 who are yet to join this fast-growing network, here’s the gist: Instagram basically allows its users to “transform the look and feel” of their photos using an array of filters. Anyway, moving on; clearly inspired by Instagram, Markus Gerke, an art director slash designer from Germany, devised a new concept, which he has fittingly named Instaglasses! The idea, though still a concept, is simple: sunglasses with the built-in capabilities of Instagram!
From what I can see, these innovative sunglasses look like aviators. While there appears to be no saddle bridge, the area above the lens resembles the leather-like texture found on the Instagram logo. Like Ray-Bans, “Instaglasses” stylized similarly to Instagram’s text logo will feature on the left temple. Furthermore, users can take photos using an integrated 5-megapixel camera, while switching between filters via buttons found on the right temple.
Although I’m thinking way out there, I assume these sunglasses will somehow allow users to upload their photos directly to the Instagram network.
