Morgan Freeman Throws Shade At President Barack Obama?

Morgan Freeman appears to have thrown shade at Barack Obama, claiming he isn’t America’s first black President as he is mixed race.

The Academy award-winning actor gave his thoughts on Obama’s support from the public in the run-up to the 2012 Election and says that he shouldn’t be considered as the first black president.

Morgan sat down for an interview with NPR’STell Me More and said “the first thing” he thinks of whe he thinks of Obama is “all of the people who are setting up this barrier for him.”

“They just conveniently forget that Barack had a mama, and she was white – very white American, Kansas, middle America,” he added.

“There was no argument about who he is or what he is. America’s first black president hasn’t arisen yet. He’s not America’s first black president – he’s America’s first mixed-race president.”

However, he does believe that Obama has been unfairly treated by member of the Republican party.

“He is being purposely, purposely thwarted by the Republican Party, who started out at the beginning of his tenure by saying, ‘We are going to do whatever is necessary to make sure that he only has one term,” Morgan explained.

“That means they will not cooperate with him on anything. So to say he’s ineffective is a misappropriation of the facts.”
