Kelis has reportedly racked up a $300,000 tax bill after failing to pay the Inland Revenue Service (IRS).
According to TMZ, a tax lien was filed against the Milkshake singer in New York claiming she has failed to pay the US government a total of $330,426.71 in unpaid taxes for the years 2004 and 2010.
However, both years were good for the singer as in 2004, she supported Britney Spears on nationwide tour and 2010 saw her headline her first US tour accompanied by pop singerRobyn.
Kelis’ ex-husband Nas also owed the IRS last year – a hefty $6 million for a property he owns in Georgia. The rapper is already paying a large sum of child and spousal support to Kelis following their divorce in 2008.
