Chris Brown Shoots Down ‘Retirement’ Reports
Chris Brown has shot down the rumours that he is planning on retiring after the release of his latest album Fortune.
The 23-year-old singer fuelled speculation that he is stepping away from the music sceneduring his acceptance speech at the BET Awards last night when he referred to Fortuneas his “last” album.
“I’d like to thank Team Breezy, everybody who worked on any one of my albums…My last album that’s coming out in two days. … I just want to thank all my fans. It’s dedicated to y’all. This one’s for y’all, man, I appreciate everything,” he said during his speech.
Fans expressed their shock in droves on Twitter questioning why he would quit music with his career at its peak. However, a rep for the singer denied these claims, clarifying that by saying “last” he meant his “latest” record.
